We spent most of Christmas day on the road. We traveled from 12 noon to 9 in the evening, with 3 stops in between, from Austria to Switzerland. Our gas-station-stop-overs had the best view of the Alps. The entire trip, we were surrounded by icy ranges of mountain after mountain. Endless. Even the succeeding tunnels, which were actually underneath the mountains on the way to Switzerland, were seemingly endless. One tunnel was actually more than 10 kilometers long.
The mountain ranges I only used to see on Alpine milk cans which my mom pairs with a hot bowl of Champorado, I saw for myself. For real.
Yes, I was there!
